I finally get to start something that I have always wanted to do. Make miniatures. Whatever I want, in miniature form. Yes, a little bit odd, but I have loved everything miniature since I myself was miniature.
I always wanted a dollhouse. I wanted it to have carpet, lights, beds, photo frames, dinner plates, cereal boxes, a toilet, leadlight windows, the lot. I was a child who loved model buildings. I could look at a model building all day if I could. Recently at the shops, there was a scale model of the new section being built, and I stood there pointing out random details to my children. I had to drag myself away after 40 minutes because everyone was bored (really? How could they be?)
So anyway, I gave up the cigarettes 26 days ago (yay me) and found myself thinking at 5am this morning what can I do to fill my extra 3 hours and 20 minutes time I had spare per day (yes, I used to spend that much time each day smoking). And I decided that it was time to start the hobby I wanted to start for years. So here I am...
In this blog, I will be posting my ramblings, frustrations and works. If I make something quite superb, I might even post a tutorial. And if you stumble across this blog, and have any tips or suggestions, please leave me a comment.
So, for my first project, I have no idea what I am going to do, so once I figure that out, and make it, I will post back here.
